2017-02134 Software Applications Trainer

Prestigious, Philadelphia based law firm is seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Applications Trainer to join their Information Technology team!  This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, well-established firm with a lot of long term employees and a friendly, professional, team-oriented group. 

As Software Applications Trainer / User Support Specialist, you will contribute to the overall success of your department by developing, designing and delivering Firm training programs and managing training initiatives.  You must be a results-driven, high energy team player, show initiative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the firm. 

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Deliver end-user training on all Firm-standard software and hardware for both newly hired and existing attorneys and staff through classroom sessions and one-on-one training
  • Research, create and update training documentation and communications
  • Create and conduct new application training, refresher classes and firm specialized classes on new and existing software
  • Research, plan and develop specialized training for various legal practice groups on an as-needed basis
  • Maintain ongoing communication with staff to identify ongoing user challenges and incorporate these issues into training initiatives
  • Provide technical assistance with help desk and general end user support
  • Assist with software roll outs; participate in pilot orientation sessions, conduct testing, solicit feedback from pilot user groups, compile statistics and report overall findings
  • Maintain current knowledge of legal industry software trends, new training methods, best practices, and enhancements to improve the training process
  • Special projects as assigned

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years’ related training / user support experience and high level knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.  Previous experience with legal / law firm applications such as document management programs, time/billing applications, etc. highly desired.

Excellent multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills required for successful achievement of position goals.  Excellent interpersonal skills, dynamic presentation skills with the ability to conduct effective classroom training directed to an audience composed of students with mixed skill levels.
