Client FAQ

How long will it take before I receive candidate resumes?

We maintain a network of highly qualified candidates in a variety of career fields, but we believe every search is unique and we treat it as such. We will provide you with a timeline detailing the expected date you'll receive resumes. We'll often have resumes to send in minutes, however, specialized searches may take longer. The average turnaround for a search (dependent on the position) ranges from 3-5 business days.

May I use multiple recruiting firms?

Certainly! Our clients are never asked to sign an Exclusivity Agreement. It's worth mentioning that most of our clients end up working with us exclusively after they experience our high level of professionalism and commitment to service.

Will you recruit from my company?

Absolutely not. EKA won't directly recruit a candidate from a client company. This includes candidates that we've already placed with your company.

Do you personally meet the candidates? Why do you believe this is important?

Yes. A member from our team will personally interview all candidates before submitting their resume for your consideration. This is a feature that sets Everett Kelley apart and above others in our industry. There's a lot to be learned from a personal conversation with candidates—how they speak, how they handle difficult questions, etc. Getting to know the candidate and having a candid conversation about the position and their career direction is a necessary step.

What is your fee structure?

EKA's fees are highly competitive for the level of service we provide. Please contact us to discuss our fee structure and your needs.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes. We offer a guarantee on all placements. 

Do you have client references?

Do you test your candidates?

Yes. Depending on the search and position requirements, EKA conducts computer skills, grammar, and other similar tests.

Will my company name be disclosed during the search process?

If you prefer, all company specific information can be confidential until you express an interest in a candidate.

Do you send unsolicited resumes?

No. As a general practice, EKA does not send unsolicited resumes to current or prospective client companies.

May I speak with more than one EKA employee?

Yes. Our job is to service our clients. A competitive spirit works great at the ballpark, but not here. Any member of the EKA team can help you. We understand how busy you are, so we make sure someone is always available to speak with you—at your convenience, not ours.

How will you handle a highly confidential search due to an impending termination or restructuring of my company without detailing specifics?

Highly confidential searches are familiar territory for us. We take the time to learn about our client companies—their culture, unique needs, position requirements, etc. We've been determining the right fit for our clients' highly sensitive searches for over 55 years. While we may not be able to disclose company specific information to a candidate, we are still able to provide them with enough information about the position so they'll feel comfortable and confident throughout the recruiting process. A high level of confidentiality has never hindered a search or deterred a candidate.

What is your success rate?

EKA is proud to say that we have a 99% success rate for our placements.

What type of placement services do you provide?

EKA has a long history of providing permanent placement services. While we still specialize in permanent placement, we're pleased to offer our clients additional services to better meet your changing needs. EKA is able to successfully fill permanent, temporary to permanent, and long-term contract positions. We do not fulfill short term, temporary needs.

What is a contingency firm? What are the advantages of a contingency firm?

A contingency firm is defined as a firm that conducts a search and locates candidates for a specific position within the client company.There are several advantages to working with a contingency firm. Most notably, there is no up-front cost to our clients. So you have nothing to lose.

Is there an advantage to working with a generalist versus a specialist?

There are several advantages to working with a generalist recruiter:

Relationships: You're able to build a strong relationship with a single organization that can service each of your needs, rather than trying to build and maintain multiple relationships.
